Treatment & Medical Questions
To determine if you’re a candidate for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), you must complete:
- A comprehensive medical consultation with a licensed provider.
- A blood test to assess your hormone levels.
- A review of your medical history to ensure there are no contraindications.
If your lab results indicate clinically low testosterone or hormone imbalances, and you have symptoms that impact your well-being, our providers will discuss treatment options tailored to your needs.
Before starting TRT or HRT, we require:
- Total & Free Testosterone
- Estrogen (Estradiol – E2)
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
- Lipid Panel
- Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) (for men over 40 or as needed)
These labs help our providers determine if hormone therapy is medically necessary and ensure your treatment is both safe and effective.
While most patients tolerate TRT/HRT well, potential side effects may include:
- Temporary acne or oily skin
- Mild fluid retention
- Changes in red blood cell count (monitored via bloodwork)
- Possible changes in fertility
Our providers closely monitor your treatment and adjust your protocol as needed to minimize side effects. Regular lab tests and follow-ups ensure your therapy is safe and effective.
Results vary by individual, but most patients experience improvements within weeks to months:
- Weeks 1-3: Increased energy, improved mood
- Weeks 4-6: Better sleep, enhanced mental clarity
- Months 2-3: Increased strength, improved libido, muscle retention
- Months 3-6: Noticeable body composition changes, optimized overall well-being
Consistent labs and follow-ups ensure you’re progressing safely.
No. Matrix Reformed strictly follows medical guidelines and does not prescribe testosterone or anabolic steroids for:
❌ Bodybuilding
❌ Athletic performance enhancement
❌ Muscle mass or strength gain without medical necessity
We prescribe TRT based on lab results and symptoms indicating a legitimate medical need.
Yes, when properly prescribed and monitored, TRT is considered safe and effective. We follow strict medical protocols, including:
✔ Routine bloodwork to monitor health markers
✔ Personalized dosing based on lab results
✔ Provider oversight to ensure safety and effectiveness
Like any treatment, TRT isn’t for everyone—our providers carefully assess each patient for eligibility.
We follow strict clinical guidelines for prescribing TRT:
✅ Comprehensive lab work is required before treatment
✅ All patients consult with a licensed provider before starting therapy
✅ Ongoing monitoring ensures continued medical necessity
If a patient doesn’t meet medical criteria, we will not prescribe testosterone.
